Caitlyn Jenner biography
Caitlyn Jenner (born October 28, 1949), formerly known
as Bruce Jenner, is a figure in American television and retiredOlympic
decathlete gold medal winning. Jenner was a college football player for the
Yellowjackets Graceland before incurring a knee injury requiring surgery. Coach
L. D. Weldon, who had led the Jack Parker Olympic decathlete, Jenner convinced
to try thedecathlon. After intense training, Jenner won the decathlon at the
1976 Olympics Summer Games in Montreal (after Sovietathlete won the title in
1972 during the Cold War), gaining fame as "an all-American hero" .
Jenner set a record third successive world while winning the Olympics. The
winner of the Olympic decathlon is traditionally given the unofficial title of
"world's greatest athlete. With this stature, Jenner then established a
career in television, film, writing, racing, business, and as a model Playgirl
cover.
